We are delighted to announce that Plum Village monastics led by Brother Phap Linh, Sister Hien Nghiem and Sister Kinh Nghiem will be joining us for a series of events in May.

A Wake Up Retreat with Plum Village Monastics: Nurturing Ourselves in Nature
Date: 7pm THU 16th – 5pm SUN 19th May 

You’re invited to join us on a special monastic-led spring retreat on the theme “Nurturing ourselves in Nature”. We’ll enjoy sinking deeper into the present moment, connecting deeply with ourselves and each other.

Hosted by the Wake Up Community of young adults, this special retreat is opportunity to practice mindfulness in the Plum Village tradition in the beautiful gardens and woods of Kentwell, a peaceful and expansive countryside venue in Suffolk.

Radical Mindfulness: Zen Teachings for Challenging Times

Date: THU 2 May 6.30pm – 8.45pm

Join the monastic students of Zen Master and Peace Activist Thich Nhat Hanh for an evening of mindfulness practice and teachings.

Accessible for newcomers while also enriching for experienced practitioners, this mindfulness evening will introduce essential Plum Village mindfulnesspractices, and show how they can bring relief and insight, and open a way forward in challenging and uncertain times.

Wake Up Afternoon and Evening of Mindfulness
Date: SAT 4 May  2:30pm – 8pm

You are warmly invited to a special monastic led afternoon and evening of mindfulness for the Wake Up London community. A quiet space, much needed in our busy lives, where we can deepen our practice, slow down, rest and water our seeds of calm, joy, compassion and solidity.

There will be sitting and walking meditations, sharing, singing, a Dharma talk, Q&A and mindful picnic dinner. In the afternoon we will go to enjoy walking meditation in the park.

£20 /£25 /£30 per person according to your means

For all these we have kept prices as low as possible. Please just pay what you can. Where you can afford the upper rate however that would be helpful.

Volunteers welcome…
