How can nourishing our sangha heal our society?
Dear friends,
Join us on Saturday 6th April for a transformative day of mindfulness led by the monastics from Plum Village, the Zen monastery established by Thich Nhat Hanh.
Recognising the value of a strong community, the monastics are offering a day specifically for our sanghas (meditation groups) in London and beyond. Friends practising with Wake Up, Heart of London, Colours of Compassion and all other sanghas are welcome.
Living in a society that can feel lonely and harsh, taking refuge in our sangha can replenish our joyful energy. The Plum Village monastics live and work in a strong community. Learning from them can inspire us to go out into the world with a smile on our face.
This is event is lovingly organised by Wake Up London but open to adults of all ages.
We look forward to seeing you!
The Organising Team
We offer a 30% discount on tickets for the live podcast event and changemakers event for those who are attending the Sangha Day of Mindfulness. A discount voucher will be sent in the confirmation email after ordering your ticket.
Due to our small team we unfortunately cannot offer refunds if a ticket to the other events has been bought first.
The day is co-organised by Plum Village UK, a registered charity and Wake Up London. Ticket prices will contribute towards the costs of running the event.
Vegan lunch will be served. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please add this in the checkout form.
Unfortunately children are not able to attend the day due to the layout of the location. We are hoping to organise a separate event for the Family Sangha on Sunday in the Quaker House.
If this is a barrier to you, please contact us and we will try to find a way to cover the cost of the ticket. We cannot promise we will be able to.
The closest tube stations to Crypt on the Green is Farringdon tube and train station (6 mins walk).
The tube station is reachable on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan line as well as the Elizabeth Line.
If you’re coming from outside of London you may be able to take a train directly to Farringdon train station.
Day of mindfulness: 9.30am-6.30pm
Sangha Concert: 7.45pm-9.45pm
We regret that there is no step-free access at the Crypt on the Green. Friends who need step-free access are invited to join the monastic events on Friday or Sunday.
The costs of this event reflect the minimum ticket price needed to facilitate a growing community in central London locations. Similarly, we are making a contribution to the cost of living of the monastics, in gratitude for that which they offer.
On the day, there will be an opportunity to make a donation to the Being Peace Centre project and the Plum Village Construction Fund.
