Family Sangha – Afternoon of Mindfulness

How can mindfulness help families develop the skills to promote peace in themselves and in the world around them?

Dear friends

Join us on Sunday 7th April for a child, teen and parent centred afternoon of mindfulness led by the monastics from Plum Village, the Zen monastery established by Thich Nhat Hanh.

The monastics have kindly offered this event specifically for families, so it is a very precious and rare opportunity to be in their presence, learning through mindful games, singing and play. Together, we will joyfully plant seeds of peace, relaxation and awareness in our children as well as offering a chance for parents to strengthen their practise.

Bringing up children is rewarding yet challenging, taking refuge in our sangha can support and nourish us. The Plum Village monastics live and work in a strong community. Learning from them can inspire us to bring more peace and harmony into our families.

We look forward to practising with you all!

The Organising Team

The day is co-organised by Plum Village UK, a registered charity and the London Family Sangha. Ticket prices will contribute towards the costs of running the event.

Other Information

Cost & Donations

The costs of this event reflect the minimum ticket price needed to facilitate a growing community in central London locations. Similarly, we are making a contribution to the cost of travel of the monastics, in gratitude for visiting London.

On the day, there will be an opportunity to make a donation to the Being Peace Centre project and the Plum Village Construction Fund.

Refunds

Due to our small team of volunteers we are currently not able to offer refunds.

If we are not peaceful, if we are not feeling well in our skin, we cannot demonstrate real peace and we cannot raise our children well either.
